In-home nonmedical respite for CLTS families.

Abide Supportive Living, Inc. is a qualified Wisconsin Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) provider for nonmedical respite. Respite gives a parent or primary caregiver planned relief while a trained, background-checked Abide staff member supports the child in the family home or community.

Children and young people enrolled in the CLTS waiver whose county support and service coordinator authorizes respite.

What a visit looks likeSupervision, routines, engagement

Staff follow the child’s plan: safety, daily routines, play and community participation, and the family’s instructions.

Wisconsin caregiver background check, Abide orientation, and participant-specific competency sign-off before any independent shift.

How to start

From coordinator conversation to first visit.

Service begins only after a participant-specific county authorization and confirmed staffing.

  4. 4Authorization and startOnce the county authorization is issued, Abide completes the participant-specific orientation and schedules the first visit.
