Training completion is one gate—not the final clearance.

WisCaregiver/CDCP training can provide a foundation. Abide must still complete the employer background-check review, agency orientation, participant-specific instruction, observed competency, and supervisor approval.

  2. 2Conditional selectionAny offer remains contingent on caregiver eligibility and the remaining hiring requirements.
  3. 3Screening and orientationAbide completes the Wisconsin caregiver review and documents required agency training.
  4. 4Participant-specific competencyThe worker learns the actual plan, risks, communication, routines, and authorized support tasks.
  5. 5Supervisor sign-offOnly then may the employee begin an approved assignment with an active county authorization.
